What is Velocity?

Velocity is the Jr. High Ministry of West Side Christian Church. It is designed specifically to meet the needs of 6-8th grade students in our church and the surrounding community. (It is also the name of our Sunday AM program.)

Where is Velocity?

Most of our programs and events are held at West Side Christian Church which can be found with the following directions. Once inside the main entrance, our main room on Sunday mornings is up the stairs to the left and down the hall in room E205. There should also be plenty of people near the main entrance to welcome you and show you around if you need additional assistance.

What happens over the summer when grades change?

All of the children’s and student ministries at West Side promote in the fall as school begins. Students should go to the ministry or class of the grade they were last in. That means 5th graders should continue going to West Side Kids (the Elementary School Ministry) until they are promoted in September. The only difference is with our 8th graders. We do allow them to participate in a few High School activities (like CIY Summer Conference) even though they are not yet a part of the High School ministry.
